Material selection decisions are important; failures like delaminating coatings, premature alloy fatigue, or non-compliant polymers can lead to unnecessary costs. MatX Lab helps reduce this risk by providing Materials & Process, Failure Analysis, R&D, and QA/QC Engineers with reliable data for informed decisions, whether for a single wafer or a full production batch of different products.
Who We Are
MatX Lab was founded on the observation and experience that researchers, product owners, and engineers at companies needing advanced materials analysis often require multiple techniques and locations. We aim to apply the right methods correctly and deliver clear, timely results.
Every project at MatX Lab follows test methods or custom requirements, with analyses following ASTM, ISO, IEC, UL, and MIL-STD or other international/local test standards wherever applicable, and we document our approach to ensure traceable, reproducible results. We do not improvise when a standard exists, nor do we overstate results. If a method has limitations, you will know them before testing begins.
We coordinate testing through a network of accredited partner laboratories to meet the requirements. MatX Lab offer over 950 test standards and methods like: Accelerated Aging & Environmental Reliability, Adhesion, Bond & Coating Mechanics, Barrier & Permeation Properties, Chromatography & Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS / LC-MS), FIB & Cross-Sectioning, Contact Angle & Surface, DMA & Viscoelastic Properties, DSC & Calorimetry, EDS / EDX Microanalysis, Electron Microscopy (SEM / TEM / STEM), Corrosion Testing, Optical & Transmission Properties, Tensile & Tension Testing and 70+ more matching samples, coupons, materials with the most suitable instrumentation and expertise, all with one point person and single thread.
What We Believe
Four principles guide every project.
Data over opinion: Every conclusion is based on a measurement, a method, and a documented procedure. When interpretation is necessary, we clearly identify it as such.
Realistic timelines, met: We quote achievable turnaround times and adhere to them. We do not compromise measurement quality to meet deadlines and will inform you promptly if a timeline is at risk.
Clarity over jargon: Our reports answer your questions directly. They are written for both the researching engineer and the decision-maker.
Default Confidentiality: Information, formulations, and research communication are proprietary and stay only with us. We treat every project and request as confidential, although NDAs are standard practice.
