Testing as a Service, Not Instrument Time

Most laboratories charge for instrument time. We sell answers. That difference influences everything, from the choice of method used to the scope of testing and the conclusions in the report. Because an extensive network of accredited partner laboratories conducts the testing, your project is defined by the question, not by a laboratory's layout. A $400 optical inspection that solves the problem is worth more than a $4,000 electron microscopy study that wasn't needed.

What We Test For

Test requests can be classified into some common types of work regardless of the business sector.

  • Identification and de-formulation. The composition of the material, its constituents, and its correlation to the specified reference – resins, alloys, coatings, impurities, unknown samples.
  • Verification of the specification. Confirmation that the supplied batch, component, or supplier meets the requirements stated in your specification.
  • Failure analysis. Understanding of the failure of the component or its degradation by the cause found from the analysis of physical evidence.
  • Performance and durability. The behavior of the material when subjected to the load, temperature, voltage, fire, weather, or corrosion, according to the published test procedure.
  • Consistency and quality. Variation from batch to batch, acceptance testing of the material, impurities, and cleanliness of the material.

How a Testing Project is Conducted

Step 01. Scope and consultation. Provide us with information about the material you work with, your question, and the standard you adhere to. We will determine the procedure and provide you with a fixed scope and quote within one to two business days.

Step 02. Method selection. We determine the appropriate technique and accredited laboratory based on the best fit of laboratory facilities for your task, not on the available capacity of our own labs.

Step 03. Coordination of execution. We conduct the tests, control the chain of custody, and consult partner labs, so you deal with one coordinator, not five partners.

Step 04. Reporting. We combine all results into a single, standards-compliant report, interpret it for your benefit, and support your follow-up.

What if I don’t know what kind of test I need?

Tell us about the material and what decision you are supposed to make with its help. We recommend the appropriate technique.

Can I order a single test or only whole programs?

Either one. An individual tensile pull or FTIR scan is a regular project, as well as a multi-technique qualification program. Scope depends on your question, not on a minimum order.

How much does testing cost and how long does it take?

Individual technique testing may start at several hundred dollars and take up to 5-10 business days after sample delivery. Multi-technique investigations will cost more and take longer. Every quotation will come with a detailed itemization and estimated timeframe before you decide to proceed.
